I never thought I'd be posting on this thread, lollol

It's a lonnnng story but I stopped trail riding in 2007, only riding a few minutes here and there when my niece came to visit. --- my two remaining horses haven't been ridden since 2007.

Even though I have quite a saddle collection, I have always ridden without one.

The "attic saddles" either don't fit or they're too heavy for my old 5'2" self to slide up the side of two fairly tall horses.

I will never be able to trail ride again but, if I put a saddle on someone, I can at least do some riding on our property before both horses get too old for anything ---- they're 21 & 22.

So, I am buying this: 16" TN Saddlery Quilted Gaited Western Saddle | eBay

He lives close enough I can drive up to his factory and spend the $35 shipping fee on eating out instead:cowdance:

I'm old enough to remember when $339 was a whole big bunch of money for a saddle ----- today it is chump change, even for a good used saddle.

It has flared bars, so should fit both horses for short rides around the farm.

This saddle is perfectly fine for what I need and eventually it will join the others in the attic for my baby brother to worry about when I'm Gone. It does have crossfire rigging and I need to learn how to cinch that way ---- thank goodness for You Tube:charge:

Annnnd I bought the TackyTack Pad to go with it.

Now ----- if I can ride without blacking out, life will be good:cowgirl:

I got me self some deals today, even though I still spent way more than I should have  I got a new T84 blade, Cool Care, 2 C4 belts, a pair of RSL winter riding gloves, a lavender Kastel sun shirt, and Noble Outfitters Legacy jacket (I'm obsessed with this color lately :loveflag:). I got everything from my local tack shop, which was having a sale on basically everything until the end of the month, so got over 50% off retail on certain things. Score! :D

I went to equifest yesterday and was disappointed to see that there were basically no english vendors this year. :( But I did get an Ariat jacket for $40 that was originally over $100 (score!) and a pair of cute dressy Ariat boots that were $100 off.

Bought 2 bits: Neue Schule 16mm Starter loose ring (which I was able to rent and try out via dressage extensions) and the Neue Schule Tranz Angled Eggbut.

Oh, and a new bonnet from IfTheBonnetFits :)

    No more spending now.
