My mom is wanting a printer that will print from a cell phone. Any suggestions? She does not have a computer, only a cell and tablet. It is possible, right?

Yep! My mom has an android phone and a iPad. She only needs to print black and white so I got her a laser. The cost per print is less and the high yield toner lasts long enough I can swap them when I visit.
I got this one cheap before Christmas as they were phasing it out for a newer model. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00HRG01A4/ref=ya_aw_oh_bia_dp?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It was stupid easy to set up and mom loves the copy and full duplex

My husband hates printers but agreed we could get a laser printer so we had something. We've had a brother laser printer for 7 or 8 years now and it's been great. I went to see if I could print something from my phone the other day and while it didn't print directly, I just remembered there is a brother printer app on my phone that I'd forgotten about, lol.

All of the major printer manufacturers support mobile device printing on many of their current products, either with an app or via a standards-based interface. Look for that support in the product descriptions.

I also recommend the Cannon Pixma. Bought for hubby to print his hand tags and permits from his phone on the road.
It rattles around in a Peterbilt and still going strong.
