... to have the month we ride with no stirrups fall at the time of year when the wind picks up, there's a chill in the air, and all the horses want to fly like kites!?

I will say though, that even though the canter depart included several nice bucks, they were bucks on the correct lead. :ROFLMAO:

If it hasn't been deemed to be an official legally nominated “Day“, you just ignore it.
    Like National ice cream day.

I most definitely will NOT be ignoring National Ice Cream Day, thankyouverymuch

    :p

I do my no-stirrup excercises in the summer, when it’s nice and warm. Though if you’re looking for a double-whammy, November is a perfect month for both No Stirrup November and No More Loose Seat November!

Last week in my lesson Duncan (lesson horse) was being a brat, out of seemingly nowhere he decided to buck going across the diagonal (normally either trainer or I have some idea it's coming or what caused it), it caught me off guard because he's been good since he got me off at the cold September show. Anyway he got over it, until trainer said to drop my stirrups, literally I would drop them and he would stop and buck every single time I dropped them  Not to mention that he has the worst trot ever so no stirrup works sucks that much more lol

Be of good cheer. Some of the really big deal riding schools had a bucking horse that the instructor could cue to make a buck anywhere from a zero to a ten.
