I'm put in a quote request for a prefab metal barn, 4 stalls, 24×36....it was $37,000!!! That does not include site prep or concrete.

So, i asked my neighbor about his barn, it's a "pole barn" type, 24x48, i can get it built for $6,500, then i could put my own stalls in and save quiet a bit of money. Anyone bored at work and want to help me shop? :D:D

Definitely get a pole barn, lots of ventilation, and just have a contractor build you stalls with metal guards on exposed edges.

I would love a mesh stall front for extra ventilation, or at least a mesh door.

When I was shopping Sunset stalls out of PA were pretty reasonable.

So, you've inspired me and now I want to design my barn/garage and figure out JUST how much I need to try to save to make this a reality. I will probably get a pole barn kit from menards.com (local place for us) and go from there. I want two 12x12 stalls with a removable gate between them, and I need at least the top of the stalls or anywhere that could be chewable to be metal, since Miss Frosty is a beaver. Can't wait to see what you pick out!!

Build your own. Much cheaper. Not very hard.

The place we bought last year had a metal building with a concrete floor. I priced stalls from multiple dealers. I stalked CL and FB. They're just ridiculously expensive.

I lined my walls with 3/4" wafer board and then made dividers from 2x12s. I used 4x4s for posts and 2x4s for rafters. I used 4' gates mounted so they swing both directions. I put down 3/4" mats.

We already had an the tools needed: circular saw, drill, impact gun, level, hammer drill, measuring tape etc.

They work. They didn't cost a fortune.
