I don't have Aldi by me. They just put one in a town I lived in 10 years ago. I flipped out when I saw it.

In Germany we first go to Lidl, then get the rest of the stuff at Aldi. Then twice a month, over to France, just a 20minute drive from the house, and load up on cheeses, fish, and Mediterranian grown stuff.

    I love Germany~!!

    Aldi is my favorite!!!

I only buy groceries about once a month. I get a full cart for only 120-140. At another store the same amount/quality of groceries would cost me about 400. I love love love aldi!!

Ritter means rider, horseback rider, and my favorite is the Ritter Sport dark chocolate~!!
But you can buy those all over Germany.

Black Forest ham~!! We don't have the real thing in this country. Anything labeled black forest anything, cake, ham, whatever, is nothing like the real thing, not even close~!!

We don’t have Aldi here, but went into one with my DIL in the UK, I couldn’t believe that we had a full cart, including beer and cider, and it was half the price of her usual store..quality on everything was good.

Our Aldi is out of the way, but it’s the only place I can get Strupwaffles! So I try to make it once a month.

Honestly...went to one once. Never went back. Tiny. Dirty. Poor selection with half the store stocked with non-food dreck. Strange given how much a treat it is to visit their sister, err....brother... Trader Joe's. They opened a new one near here recently. Seems to be the same size. But we may visit just to see if things have improved. I doubt it will change our Wegman's habit, however...
