After reading the thread on sleazies, they discussed what side a horse's mane should lay on. It was said that a hunter horse's mane should lay on the right side. AH! I got my Thoroughbred gelding a few months ago and his mane was soooo thick that it laid on both sides of his neck. So I shaved out the underneath and started braiding it to train it to lay on one side. So far it's looking good, but I'm training it to lay on the LEFT side. I want to show him in Hunters, possibly Jumpers, at the end of this show season and there is no way that I can have the underneath of his mane grown out and laying on the other side by then. Does it really matter which side it lays on?
