OKay, I know that's probably a lame question, but hey, I'm an Arab person! Sorry!

Can you tell me how a "running quarter horse" differs from a regular quarter horse? Is it a QH that races? :p

Me thinks it is. Me also thinks there are 2 types of quarter horse, 1 bred for racing and the other bred for working cattle. Could be wrong though.

Chester, that's what I thought, too. That maybe running QH's have predominantly racing bloodlines? I should quit guessing and wait for the HGS QH owners to comment! hee hee

I used to board at a Qh racehorse breeding farm. They have their own pretty distinct, pretty isolated bloodlines. They sold a lot of their that didn't cut it in racing to be barrel horses though.

My friend has a Running Quarter horse, and he's got alot of Thoroghbred in him. I am thinking that Appendix Quarter Horse and Running Quarter horse are the same thing. I was told that one parent could be a TB, the other a QH and would be considered an Appendix or Running QH.

Yes, a running quarter horse is another name for an Appendix Quarter.
