The back button on your mouse or phone.

I was running through some things today and realized what a hassle it used to be, now we're soo used to it.

    What can you think of?

Our new to us car doesn’t have automatic headlights, what’s that all about? I have to turn them on when it gets dark.

My thoughts went right to “what happened before cell phones”

Or what happened before computers and internet.... I remember those days the first household computers took forever to boot and were built like bricks. My current computer talks back

My grandmother was real happy she had running water, electricity, central heat, inside flush toilet, and an electric stove.

No more: going out to the hand pump and lugging water, no more oil lamps, no more shovelling coal, no more bundling up of a winter morning for your first pee of the day~!! And, no more splitting wood to fuel the stove.

A phone attached to a cord, typing a letter on a typewriter and snailmailing it, waiting 7-10 days for a reply, somehow just doesn't compare to the above.

Yup, and good old dial up! My husband and I still whinge about out internet speed sometimes (to be fair, compared to a lot of places in the world, Australia's internet isn't great) but then I think about dial up, and can't complain. I remember as a kid when dial up was just becoming and thing, I would sit there for ages with the volume up listening to the dial up connect because I was so excited.

Now I'm just like "wifi isn't working instantly? NOT COOL!"

My Wrangler is like this. I’ve had it five years and it’s STILL annoying.

What the hell Jeep? Just because I like off road options doesn’t mean I don’t also like auto lights.

Hands down, a stove or at least a bbq.

Ours got taken out by a power surge. And we were withowithout one for over a week and we also don't have a BBQ at this time.

Making food took on a whole new process, I was so happy to get a new stove
