I have a roughly 23 yo gelding and I’m not sure what breed he is. He is a bay dun and formerly evented. I have heard a lot of people say he looks Quarter or part quarter, or even he looks like a Warmblood. Honestly I’m not quite sure about him, but I would appreciate some help. Here’s a bunch of possibly useless pictures.

He looks real good for his age~!!

He's just that breed of “Handsome“. They come in all varieties~!!

If I had to guess I would have to guess multiple choices and couldn't say one cross or breed over another.

QH/Draft, is my top pic, due to the dun, although other breeds carry dun. I think, if he were a WB, you would've gotten papers. He could be a WB / QH cross, or many other crosses between TB, WB, and QH, and have other breeds in there as well.

    what a good looking guy!
How tall is he? Roman noses are not really all that usual in most wb breeds nowadays...maybe he is part Standardbred? My other guess would be Lusitano cross, or maybe some Dutch Cart horse/gelderlander..
Anyway, looks like a good-minded, very versatile fellow.

Maybe some Cleveland Bay in there? Not terribly common around here, but a friend has one and he has a similar look. He is also pretty talented in several disciplines. In any event, very good looking guy!

    I think he’s about 15 “1 maybe? I have a 15 3 quarter and he’s a little shorter but that’s just a guess.

My first thought was QH/Draft as well. His body is more QH. But his head and feet look very drafty to me.

He does look great for his age.

I would believe he was 3/4 stock horse and 1/4 draft.

You can do one of those DNA tests to find out

He's a draft cross, but there's no way to tell unless you get a DNA test. I think they're pretty cheap now. Go for it-!!

He may be a draft cross. But I've also seen some rather massive beasts result when a Quarter Horse was bred to an old-fashioned heavier Euro Warmblood.
