She is a 3 yr old mare sold to me as a Quarter Horse but now I am having doubts. Do you think she is a quarter horse? New to the site please help. These are the only pictures I have at the moment.

I'd say that's a QH......has all the characteristics of one.

I think she is most likely a QH too. Curious as to what about her looks makes you think she is not a QH?

Yup. Quarter horse. Maybe Appendix QH from the last pic.

What makes you doubt that? Is she gaited or something?

She looks primarily AQHA to me. Possibly a cross, but looks mostly quarter stock. They're not all huge, muscle bound with ginormous behinds. Those that are, are generally not athletes, they're usually halter bred and not much more than for looks - if you like that kind of "look".

Why do you think she's not a Quarter Horse?

    She sure looks like one.

Thank you all for your reply’s. I have another quarter horse and the main difference i noticed was the sice of her head conpared to my other quarter horse. I was thinking she was a mustang. These are my first horses and I dont have enough experience with different breeds. Thank you guys.

Well, she does have a big head but not all Quarter horses have the same size head. If she's Appendix QH, bred for QH racing, they have Thoroughbred in them, so you could get a bigger head.
