'Glad you can take advantage of the down-time to deal with some other medical things that would be hard to do if you were in the thick of it. 'Hope your healing continues at a rapid pace.
Was on the phone with Tricare Reserve Select starting at 8:30am and finished at 2pm. I think my paperwork is finally in place for me to get my health for my civilian life starting January. Till then I got Tricare Prime till January.
Scheduled to start back at work this Monday. Excited and nervous at the same time.
The ankle is still achey but not agony so we decided to just get back to life and see where it goes.
I have lots of stuff scheduled for my return.
Getting the roll off dumpster delivered the 16th.
Gutting the back half of the house starting that day as well. Contractor is going to be busy.
New furnace Motor gets put in on the 11th. Had it running on my last trip down but it died 2 days later. Just light money on fire why don't you.
I'm ready to have my cat and dog back. I need my bed warmers lol.
And another example of when the word 'furnace' and the phrase 'light money on fire why don't you' so often are found in close proximity to one another.
I had to get a new furnace last year. Not only did it cost more than raising a child, it was MINISCULE.
They brought it in and I said, 'what's in the box? A pair of hiking boots?'
HAHAHAHAHAH NO that's your $12,000 furnace.
I see you caught my play on words.
The motor and 1 other tiny part came to $600. I had them come in, clean the furnace and I put in a new filter. Fired it up and the motor ran but was making a death rattle.
I had them find the parts right then but thanks to Christmas they couldn't put it in. Plus I had to be back in Minnesota right after Xmas.
I checked on the furnace the next day and it was doing a death rattle still but running. Crossed my fingers it would limp on till spring. Checked on it again the next day and still running.
Went back right before I was to drive home and it was DEAD.
I scheduled the install for my return day. Of course the truck runs up a bill close to $3,000 till then.
And yes the prices on a furnace are insane.
