... And I didn't even post him on here. Lol.
This afternoon we drove to Skookumchuck and picked up a horse for $1100 plus GST! He's really nice imo. He's a 14.3 hh Pintabian, Bay tobiano. He's 98% Arabian and 75% Crabbet. Got a real shine to his temperament! However he isn't broke to ride and needs to be gelded, which she was gonna do but due to the huge dump of snow we had this year couldn't get out of the drive. And the vets wouldn't do it after mid March cuz hes an older stallion and his jewels apparently are too big after then. So we'll be waiting til July for that I guess. Also, the seller says he's halter broke, but I think he needs some more work in that area... Halter broke shouldn't mean able to pull him around on the end of the lead rope. Lol. His hooves need doing, but he was just de-wormed yesterday. Also, he is very compact. I was expecting a bigger, longer horse from the pictures. He had about 2 ft of extra room in our small 2 horse! I think he'll make a nice little trail gelding. He had a rough start in life, and should have been closer to 16 hh. Once gelded he might even be kid safe. Lots of spunky left in him for 16 years old though.
Right now he is pastured next to some cows... He lived with the seller for 15 years, out in the back country, and not once in his life has he seen a cow! He's very intrigued, to say the least!
and now for the pics... I'll get more sometime this week of my own.

    Well, isn't he a looker!
I'd be nervous to bring a stud anywhere near those sweet mares of yours. Hope you have good fences.
Can't wait to see his progress!

He's pastured a good 20 km from our mares in a really really good fence, so it shouldn't be a problem! :)

Holy cow, he's gorgeous. Congratulations Sarai-!! Not a huge paint fan, but I know when it's worth looking beyond colour. Looks like a winner.;)

I do have to ask--WHY a unbroken stallion in his middle teens?!

He is very handsome, who is going to break him out for you? A 16 year old barely halter broke stud is quite the challange I would think.

I'm wondering why gelding has to wait until the middle of fly season, I would of thought the sooner the better?

I don't see a problem, he's getting gelded almost immediately and it's a good age. I can nearly tell just by his expression he's not going to be a problem child. I'd have taken him in a heartbeat for that price. I haven't seen full conformation photos mind you though.;) He could surprise me of course, but I'd be really surprised if he wasn't worth every dime. I'm kind of surprised that I'm so enthusiastic, chrome just isn't my thing usually.
