Veda is a three year old field lab and she's pretty much very characteristic of the breed. High energy level, sweet temperament, work driven, and swims like a fish. Every bit about her is a lab. Except her ears are weird.

I don't know anything about her breeding--she was a rescue puppy that I got at 3 months old because the woman who had her was too old for a puppy. My friend said something about clipping a dog's ears when they are teething? Could this be why her ears sometimes lay weird? It's like she has an extra fold in them. I'm not really bothered by it but it's just kind of doofy that the rest of her is lab and then she's got goofy ears. Pics to illustrate. Thoughts?

I've seen quite a few labs with her ears! (I used to live next to a lab breeder)

She just has a very high set to her ears. She wouldn't be considered bench worthy to show, but field bred labs are bred for their hunting skills, not conformation.

Never thought about the set of her ears--definitely makes sense!
