I need a horse. I have a small budget (no more than 3000 and that makes me grimace) and I need a horse I can use for competition this summer...and some to give some lessons (very low key lessons, after I school the horse).

I am open to something that may not fit this description completely...depending on the horse and the situation.

Ideally I would like to find a big (16-17hh+) TB or TB cross that is a good tempered greenie with some spunk. Or a well trained horse with some spunk. I will consider horse that bounces around a little (because what is life without a little bounce) as long as they are overall a good natured controllable horse. I just want to do a few training level dressage tests, and maybe go to a hunter pace...see what happens with it by foxhunting season.
I want straight legs, good joints, no critical injuries, no roached backs, and I do not want a horse with a short croup. High withers are OK by me.

I cannot offer a forever home, but I can offer a very caring, sympathetic, and knowledgable home.

I don't have one for you, but don't worry about your budget! It took me a long time, but I just found mine for $3000. I get him tomorrow! He's a 16.2 hh 8 y/o TB, so they do exist :)

I have a TB in new orleans that we are looking to sell. My friend is asking $1800 OBO. He is a 7 years and broke to the track, but is easy to handle. Just needs a new job!! Sound, UTD, neg. coggins, does have papers, but they are at the track right now, owner would have to get them! His name is Smiling Reggie. I believe he is 15.3/ 16 hands. If you can travel or get someone to haul, he is a wonderful horse and would make a great lesson horse!!

My friend has a TB for sale. Tigger is a 10 year old chestnut gelding. He has evented through novice with a novice pony clubber so he is very kind and willing. He has the potential to do more and definitly has some spunk but is sane. He is only around 15.2 - 15.3 but my friend is 5'8" and he fills up her leg quite nicely. He was left at the farm due to an unpaid board bill and is being put back to work. Located in central KY - PM for more info.
