Rather see him a bit skinny like this than over weight for the health of his legs.
That is the best condition for him to be in while growing.
He doesn´t look too skinny. Sure you can see his ribs in this pic but overall I guess a little lean is better than too heavy while he is still growing, right?
It kinda looks like he has a small hay belly in this pic, might be just the way he is standing..
I think he does have a slight hay belly. I kid you not 2 weeks ago I was looking at him and was thinking "uh oh..hes chubby.." and he grew a bit.
Those growth spurts keep you scratching your head.
So Russell... Is amazing! I adore this horse more and more, he has become what I feel like a Stallion prospect needs to be to continue his "Prospect" status and not gelded haha. He is incredibly easy to work with, he trusts 10000000% in me (i have shown him some pretty scary things) and hes just lovely to handle. He is still goofy, and will occasionally try to "Nip" (he doesnt use teeth, just lips) but he basically corrects himself... i cant really explain it, but its hilarious.
I took out my DSLR for the first time and snapped some pictures of him, so here he is!
I really like photo number five.
He looks so grown up...lovely pictures, no. 5 really shows off his pretty head.
He's looking good, filling up and out. Love #1 myself, he looks like a real sweet boy to me.
Wow, #5 is a keeper too!!
He is growing into a fine young man.
