Hey everyone!! So I'm asking for help with a project I'm about to start working on. I'm going to apply to a program at my university, called the Plastino Scholars program. Basically I get to design my own educational summer trip, top to bottom, and I have a 6,000 dollar budget. My idea is to do a trip to a few major colored warmblood breeding operations either in North America or Europe, haven't decided which region yet. The purpose is for me to learn about responsible colored breeding, in order to improve the quality of colored breeding after my college career. I decided to focus on colored warmbloods because they're currently "on trend" and hot on the market. Plus it's easier to write a proposal for the relevant trip with a more specific focus, rather than just warmbloods in general. :)

Now what I want to know from all of you breeding experts is suggestions to farms that I might visit and learn from. I know there are a few incredible color breeders on this forum, so I'd love to hear from you guys too!! Which large scale colored breeding farms are your favorite?? Should I focus more on North America or Europe??

Any advice would be great, thanks for reading!! :)

Oh and if you're curious, the plastino scholars program: http://www.cas.udel.edu/plastino-scholars/Pages/default.aspx

TCF aren't WBs, she's more or less TB's.

The the OP, how much "color" are you talking? Because there's Popeye K and Amazing that are producing quite a bit, but not to the extent of the likes of Sempatico.

Sorry - not correct. 50% of my mare base is WB, my foal on the ground right now is by a WB stallion (Bliss MF). I am very much into breeding TB/WB or WB/TB crosses as well as full TB's :)
