*slowly raises hand* When I was a dressage student at a fancy barn with a very TOUGH German dressage trainer...let me tell you...she had me posting so much after not riding for a while, when I got off, the moment my feet hit the ground I fell backwards. She towered over me, raised one eyebrow and said, "You expect this horse to be an athlete, he trains everyday. Perhaps YOU should train everyday yourself!" I wasn't fluffy but I wasn't in shape...lost 15lbs in a month.

He is massively btv, and is so because the rider deliberately asks this of the horse, so no, far from "near perfect".

One, it's biomechanically bad for the horse and it's health, and two, it's simply not according to the rules that state how a good piaffe in a competition is supposed to look.

That's MASSIVELY btv, particularly when considering that this is supposed to be one of the most highly collected exercises.

Yep.....as opposed to this piaffe head position....face is flat, much better IMHO.

Yep, horses who cannot look out in front of them, and are btv, have to look at the ground in front of them which puts them out of balance.

Try walking with your head like that. Crashes into street poles become common occurances~!!

I see people doing it all the time trying to walk and text... occaisionally do it myself with terrible results.

Just yesterday a guy playing with his smartphone exiting his house almost ran into me when I passed his house on my bicycle. I absolutely hate the smartphone zombie horde.

Better but still a bit btv.
If the poll was actually the highest point it'd be anatomically impossible for the horse to be btv..
