I have had at least one Border Collie since age 17. My old dog passed away last year at 16. I have been Border Collie-less ever since. I have been casually looking for another BC for about 8-9 months. I stopped in to meet a few adult dogs at local shelters, but I just didn't feel an older dog was a good fit for me.

So, without further ado, meet the newest member of the family..... She is only 3 weeks old (tomorrow), so I have a 5 week wait until she can come home. She comes from a pretty prestigious training/breeding program so I think she's going to be a pretty cool pup. The breeder has been taking weekly photos, so I expect new photos tomorrow.

Also, taking name suggestions. I like traditional BC names and 1-2 syllable names. I won't give an animal a 3+ syllable name. It's just too hard to say when you're giving commands.

I will probably wait until I get her to decide on a name.... see what her personality is like. I wish I could go see her before hand, but she is an 8.5hr drive away, so not going to happen until she is ready to pick up. I will also have to give her a registered name, but for now I have these on the list:
    -Jet
    -Roo
    -Kai
    -Skye
    -Luna
    -Emma
    -Frye (French Frye)
    -Freya

Oh, congrats! I like "Jet," especially due to the possibilities of a Joan Jett-related registered name!

She will be ABCA registered and they only allow 14 characters, but ILoveRockNRoll fits , as does CC's Joan Jett... hehe (I have always put CC's in front my my dogs names.) I quite like the Joan Jett theme tho as I love 80's music.

    I vote for Jet. Jetblue.

A Jetblue steward just saved the life of a french bulldog on a flight. Gave it oxygen.
