either his daddy is wimpy or his momma needs to attend AA meetings.. or both.
Maybe someone accidentally put a foal not related to Calypso in there? Who knows.
Vet was literally telling me how he should just get a little sleepy when he crashed to the ground.
"Oh my GOODNESS! That should barely have taken the edge off!
I guess this also goes to show that a distrustful horse can fight sedation to be able to get away and that one completely trusting horse doesn't fight it and goes down easier.. Quest has never been mistreated. Calypso has a history with some very likely very bad experiences.
Omg, he is SO cute!
Hahaha! Quest is a cheap drunk!
Dooley is a drug addict. He adores being stoned. When he had a tendon injury, he was eating Previcox out of our hands. Begging for it, in fact.
He and Spark had their sheaths cleaned this spring. Spark went first and when he was all dopey, Dooley was sniffing his nose and you could see he was asking him, "What'cha got? Can I get some?"
The funny part though is that he's a relative lightweight. Doesn't take much to get him nodding and drooling.
Sparky zonks out pretty quick and the vet can do his teeth without a problem. The minute he touches his manly bits, however, Spark wakes right up and gets extremely offended. Apparently, his mom drilled "good touch, bad touch" into him well.
I'm a DAIRY FARMER. Give me vulvas and uteruses and vaginas all day long, but a penis?!
"You have to sort of reach up and sort of squeeze it gently, sort of work it down."
"Just grab it-- now DON'T LET GO! Or he'll suck it up into his gut!"
"Just dig your finger in, really get it up in there."
Yup and it's always a guy that walks into the barn while you are doing it. Murphy's law as it's 98% women owners.
That is one of the reasons I went for a mare again.
I let the vet do sheath cleaning lol
Finally was able to take a photo of that old horse at the barn with the birdcatcher spots. Was easier to take a photo in my friend's horse's pen.
Then I saw a bay with them in Scottsdale. Lot less though, but definitely younger too.
