Well, his dad was clearly well-built and on the tall side, so we'll see what he looks like in another year!
Have they typically reached their full height by 2?

Maybe close? I don't know, so paging @DelP...

I'd say full height by 3, but will likely continue to fill out until 5 or so.

University of Tennessee used to have a fantastic article with breed based growth charts. Trying to see if it is still available, but for non draft breeds the generic guestimate is 97-99% grown at 30 months. Of course diet, fetal nutrition, growing nutrition, etc make a difference. My RMH gained 2" when he turned 8, but he was pretty malnourished so he had some delayed growth.

How old is he now? At 9 months he should be 87-90% grown so you should have a pretty close guess.

Almost 11 months. So, based on that, roughly how tall are we thinking?

13.2h at the wither now @ 11 months so he should be about 90% grown. So he should grow to 15h.
He may be a bit behind height wise right now because I know you had some feeding challenges at the other farm. Once he starts to put some weight back on he may grown larger. You'll have to remeasure in a month so we can see how much he grows!

I couldn't find the article I was looking for, but luckily WayBack machine to the rescue!

When I got my gelding he was about 2-1/2. I would do the test where you measure from elbow to fetlock and then take that measurement and going from elbow up to withers. It actually came out about right (he is approx 15hh).
