    Do you know how when you get a new car, you suddenly start seeing them everywhere?

    Well, I got a STB earlier this year, so I could have to above happening to me with horses.

    But I could see a STB cross out of him. Where did Calypso come from? Wonder if dad was an Amish horse.

    Calypso came out of a kill pen in PA. I doubt she was an Amish horse by virtue of being really unhandled, but I suppose if she was a broodemare, they might not have done much with her.
    Standardbred are tall, right? But have good bone?
    I could see it. . . And they have a reputation for being calm and solid!

    It is hard to say. My pony supposedly came from the Amish, and I doubt anything had been done to him aside from tying him up in a tie stall. So, it entirely depends.

    Maybe pops was a rogue STB looking for a one night stand. ;)
