    Thought this would be neat.
    Horse is TESTED to be black.

    This horse is BLACK. Thought it'd be cool to show different phases she goes through!

    Not surprised - though the dapples are really cool!

    The below horses are ALL black - in various shades of "bleached out" - blacks FADE and in the fading/bleaching process, they can look quite 'un-black'

    Dam was flaxen chestnut,
    sire was black.

    Unless dam was a very strange very red pally, no cream present. :)
    Very strange though, isnt it. sometimes I'd swear she has cream LOL

    Here's a few more. These are all various times of the year, some 2 years a row, but never the same coat.

    Fancy That -
    I know black horses fade. she's never "dull" like a really faded black (We have a dark bay who fades and looks like the ones you post)
    she can be on night turnout, and still her coat goes funny. .

    Heres one more, she was clipped less then a month before;
    funny funny mare.

    But, never tested for cream. Ma be possible, but dam was very red.

    Definitely black, definitely no cream.

    sire was black.

    she reminds me of a sooty buckskin, in the summer. Gets the black mask and everything.\her face: doesnt look like a black horse to me...even thoguh she is BLACK tested. lol
    And theres no way her mom was a pally, she was way too red.
