She has! AND she is growing a nice winter coat!!
So. many. spots!!!
"On the day that you were born the angels got together
And decided to create a dream come true
So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair..."
This is gorgeous!
"........of gold and stardust in your eyes of blue."
Sorry, I'm old and thought everyone knew that Carpenters' song. Not claiming it as mine by any stretch.
You're good, I assumed it was from a book or lullaby.
I'm old too and started singing it instead of just reading it. 1st real song I learned to play on the piano. I won't say how old I was!
Wet, covered in mud, half-grown spiky winter coat, dark rainy day, angry mare face. . . Pretty sure it is impossible for this horse NOT to be the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen.
Dentist today! And she was a STAR. As usual. She:
Let the vet/dentist give her a shot and sedate her WITHOUT A MELTDOWN!
Let her look in her mouth with a BIG SCARY light without a fight! BEFORE sedation!!!
Was generally just a good girl. I love this horse. I feel so bad, the last couple of months she has basically been sitting I have been so busy.... but she is always so good, and tries hard. It sounds stupid, but it seems to help if I tell her a week or so in advance and then again EVERY DAY until the event. "Someone is going to come and check your mouth, you have been dropping a lot of food and I want that fixed before winter. So she is going to come, look inside your mouth, and then poke you with a needle to make you sleepy and relaxed, and when you wake up your mouth will be brand new! So that is what is going to happen, now you know."
It's possible it just makes me feel better, but she was SO good today, better than she has ever ever been for shots.
Super sleepy pony. Meds had mostly worn off, and I wanted her to be out for a few hours because they are staying in tonight.
She was so dopey she didn't even complain when I let Quest out!!
(Quest got his teeth checked, did not need anything, let her open his mouth and shine a light down his throat with only mild fidigting. Good boy! He is slightly slightly parrot-mouthed again, and she thinks he will grow out of it)
