I just realized I never came back and posted hoof photos like I said I would...
Remi is doing MUCH better. Pretty much sound except for a few ouchie steps on hard ground. She is going to have another 2-3 weeks off and then light riding and see how she takes it and adjust accordingly. I'm just gonna take it easy with her for the rest of the summer.
Her right front hoof looks a little scary looking. You can peer in the hole they cut out and see that most of the front hoof wall is hollow. But she is feeling so much better.
Lucky for me my mentor loaned me and incredible gelding that is a blast to ride. So I don't have to go without riding for a whole summer! She has done so much for me and I can't thank her enough. It helps for me to have a horse to ride so I don't get too antsy to get back on mine!
