I still don't get it. Why do people need to advertise themselves? Does it help with judging?

It is also an ad for my trainers and their barn.....they advertise their clients. All breed magazines do it.

I admit, while I’ve liked looking at the ads in magazines, I also had no clue why it is done. :p

Lovely ad! Lovely horse! Lovely person! :)
    Good luck at the show!

The Morgans, ASB's Arabians Associations have magazine similar....where it's horse show ads etc. It's how the trainers get the word out about their services and how well their clients do. Its' marketing and VERY popular in all horse circles.

Not only this but when I worked the Morgan circuit (groom) it was a way to broadcast the potential sale horses. Most the Morgan ads I saw invited purchase inquiries, my barn used mostly the equitation girls to get the name out there. Got to witness a pricey purchase of an Eq horse and more. Gosh..... I miss traveling the circuit, best years of my life, learned so much!
