I really wish I knew where to get that webbing grid. I need something like that in a 4'x4' size for our feeder. We free feed but the horses toss the hay out and waste a bunch. Need something like that so they can't grab huge chunks to throw around.

My husband suggested just buying one of the Busy Horse bags and cutting it in half to get the webbing, but I'm going to investigate this further. The webbing must be available somewhere! :)

Buying the product might be cheaper than you trying to buy a small quantity of the material yourself.

Kathy if you are still looking for the grates try a shop that sells steal. It is often sold in sheets, similar to plywood. If you are not familiar with one you could call an auto parts store, they should be able to refer you to one in the area.

I have found webbing at large sewing stores and I used old seat belt webbing to make a complete new one.:)

Currently in the middle of helping construct one of these boxes. Instead of the metal frame to attach the webbing/netting to, we are using a weighed wood frame so it'll fall when the hay level does. Solves issue when you can't find that type of frame to attach the net to.

Also, if anyone can find out where that webbing is sold, that'd be a godsend. I would NOT use metal grating for a slow feeder, it's been destroying horses teeth.

I have a hoover, and I need small holed netting. I guess off to google I go.
