Do any of you know of or have a contact for any Shetland Pony breeders in PA or surrounding states? I will travel if I have to, but I would rather find someone over here in an eastern state.
I am looking for a breeder that specializes in bigger Ponies for driving. All the ones I've found seem to specialize in 38" and under halter horses.
thanks in advance for any help!

Have you contacted the American Shetland Pony Club? Maybe they can help you out.

I got a couple breeders off their list on the website, but no one breeds bigger ponies so far. I've been looking for quite some time, but the bigger ones seem to be hard to find. I don't want anything super fancy, but I also don't want junk.

I've got some on Pinterest, but I don't know their size. I'll try and check them out later, but.. they're show stock the majority.

How do you feel about mules and what size are you looking for?

I don't know anything about mules, but I think they're adorable! lol I prefer a gelding in the 46"-52" range. I can train to drive myself if needed, but would be nice to find one that's already been started.
BUT, I'm all the way over in PA.... :(

Yeah, I'm not looking to spend thousands and thousands on a pony, but I am willing to spend more than $500 lol
