    Hi all,

I have a client looking for a young horse to start. In specific, she is looking for a young colored warmblood. Does anyone know of any quality breeding programs?

    Thanks in advance!

I wish that I did. If you find any, please post here. I'm curious myself as to who in the country is breeding decent warmbloods of color. In the past, there was an amazing stallion named Cadence in Color, a Freisan stallion. His offspring are incredibly diverse, athletic, correct, and colorful. His breeding book seems to be closed right now. There isn't a lot going on out there with him. He was the only one that I knew of.

You might try contacting Silver Wood Farm in VA

Blazing Colours Farms in Ontario has dilute and pinto warmbloods.

Check into some the KWPN-DHH lines. They tend to have color & are still warmbloods.

Outside of that all the ones off the top of my head have been named already.

Best of luck in your search!

Our barn rescue had a starved paint 1/2 Oldenburg come in from PA, so dont write off the auction sales either. He cleaned up Beautifully, with some time, tlc, and a few 100 lbs.

Usually colour is secondary, I'd stick with that and consider it a freebie if you've found chrome. Just my opinion, colour is the last option on the table for me. Good luck though no matter what.

Thanks everyone!! I agree, color is secondary, however, honoring the counts wishes, for me, comes first. I will check out all the recommendations. Thanks again!
