Roundworms in 2 year old

    Roundworm does rarely respond to ivermectin or moxidectin. There are several studies showing this, probably never have been a good dewormer for roundworms, as well as Oxyuris equi (cannot remember the english name for it, pinworm?). Fenbendazole is the best choice and in second place pyrantel pamoate.

    No do NOT do this! Learn how the worms develop inside the horse and how the dewormers work, what stages they reach. Also, be sure the dewormers still work. FEC first, then deworming, and FEC again 7-10 days later shows if the dewormer is still working or if your horse have resistant parasites.

    What insecticide are you suggesting would kill roundworm eggs in a pasture?
