So I'm hearing a little bit of buzz on this new show. Reality TV meets Rodeo? Not quite in my opinion.

I work in a shop and showed the video on the the link to one of my mechanics, who is not a horse person by any means, and he said "it looks like one of those housewives shows with a horse in it every once in while"

    The link http://www.aetv.com/rodeo-girls/

I'm just a trail rider, colt starter, mountain pack trip type. I don't Rodeo or show, but this even offends me.

    What do you guys think?

it'll be interesting to say the least.
my friend and i were chatting about it the other day at school and she said "no one in their right mind with respect for the sport or themselves would barrel race in a bikini."
i kind of agree with her.

Well I've seen a topic on this earlier and a barrel racer from Texas pointed out that they will barrel race in bikini's and shorts in the summer. But the rest of it just looks weird. I mean seriously don't make it so that everyone that likes this show is starting to rodeo because I'm sure some people who think that this show is the real rodeo world will try rodeoing.

I've had this discussion a few times. I think the show looks stupid, but I personally know of a LOT of 'rodeo' girls who act like that. Fake, gross, annoying....pretty much what the show is showing to a 'T'

In fact...a LOT of SoCal riders are like that.

Jess! that's not nice :p lol just kidding. I only do gymkhana's right now, but 99% of the people at the gymkhana club are awesome. I haven't done much rodeo or other shows yet, but it will be interesting to see how much of this show is true.

There are a few more girls in the Columbia River Circuit that would have fit right in that should have jumped at the offer lol!

I'm probably not going to watch. .. knowing me I'll forget about it, or be at work. If I cant watch it on Netflix I dont usually get to. I am interested to see how it plays out though.

The part that offends me is that the cowgirls I know have pretty good morals, and I think cowgirls are sexy enough without being plastered half naked on TV. I'm guessing they couldn't sell the show without it.

I think most of us would enjoy a good show about real rodeo cowboys and girls. About what it really takes. I'm just sick of how TV has to sexualize everything.
