I can barely contain the joy. :charge:

I am trying to study for the bar exam, which is Feb. 21-23. :eek2:
I leave for a 10-day vacation to the Caribbean in 6 days. :help:
I have 3,482 things to do to prepare for said vacation. :faint:
As well as 965 lectures and practice tests to complete before then.
My incredibly needy, 20-pound rescue cat keeps jumping up directly on my bladder.
And I woke up this morning with a screaming UTI, which is very painful.

2017 is not looking much different than 2016 so far.

And yes, I'm going to the doc first thing tomorrow. Luckily I had some pyridium left from the last go-round.

I wonder why I have anxiety attacks? :ninja:

As a lab tech, I hate pyridium. But as someone who has had UTI's, it is lovely. :) Drink that cranberry juice and good luck with the rest of your "adventures". :)

Went to Urgent Care today because my doc was closed. Explain symptoms, pee in a cup. A nice young man in a lab coat comes in and introduces himself as Dr. So-and-So. I explain that I'm allergic to sulfa and can't take anything in the Cipro family because I get a somewhat rare side effect (tendinitis). I ask if I can get more Pyridium as well.

    "What's that for?" he asks.

Now, Pyridium is regularly prescribed for pain associated with UTI so his not knowing that was a bit concerning. I sometimes feel when I go to an Urgent Care facility that I'm talking to someone just pretending to be a doctor. Like those commercials where the person isn't an expert on bear wrangling or whatever but feels qualified to give advice because he slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I politely explained and he said he'd write it up. He had to come back twice to ask me again what it was called. In the end, he wrote a prescription for 90 of them with 3 refills. Since you only take them until the antibiotics kick in, that gives me enough to last the rest of my life.

But he was a nice young man and I have a prescription for Macrobid which generally works for me.
