    Does anyone recognize this brand? My thoughts are that she is likely a pmu mare because she also has a number on her left shoulder.

    Some states will have a statewide brand book, others by the county. Check your state and find out how many books you're looking for. Best place to find brand books is an auction yard. Usually, you can browse them for free.
    I'd be checking surrounding states as well. Sometimes you have to go farther. I have horses clear over in the Dakotas that I've raised, I'm in Washington. But, brand books are the only way to find a brand.

    Do you have an auction mart nearby? Here we have brand inspectors who will look at brands and can tell you more info about them. Probably easier than trying to look it up yourself really.

    What state are you in? That looks like a local horse outfitter brand. Chad owns a lot of horses and leases them to dude ranches, day rides, hunters, and whatnot. They have his family brand (shown on your mare's left hind) and a number to identify them. PM me if you want and I can get you in touch with Chad. We lease 10 or so from him each year for our program here. He has some great qualify horses. You can see the brands on Pilgrim here (a super fun guest horse).

    Any idea what breed this horse is? I have his twin with a totally unknown history.

    @Fasterhorses

    We tell guests that Pilgrim is a Clydesdale cross, but I really am not sure. His owner possibly knows.

    That looks exactly like her brand. I was told she’s a Clyde cross. I’d love if you can PM me info. She’s a sweetheart, I’d just love to know more about her
