She never went to a doctor. She had a few days of blood/tissue which we're assuming was likely a miscarriage. She feels fine now, except for occasionally demanding a baby. She's no longer miserably unhappy. Her back and her head don't hurt anymore, her stomach is smaller and isn't firm anymore, her breasts aren't tender anymore, and she no longer demands pickles. I'd still prefer she see a doctor to be safe, but I can't really insist on it while she feels normal

Your GF is nuts for not going. But then again I have brushed off stuff in hopes of it just going away on its own.
All her symptoms point to a serious problem that could repeat itself.
But like you said you can't force a person to go to the doctor. It's frustrating but reality.
    Good luck.

I wish she'd get checked out just to make sure she's alright, but I do see her point. Neither of us have insurance. She doesn't want to put herself into a ridiculous amount of debt, especially now, when she has no symptoms. If it were me, I would've gone before while in pain, but I wouldn't go now, when there aren't any signs something is wrong

A cousin of mine went in for a miscarriage with no insurance. It was less than $800 at urgent care.

It is worth it, especially if she hopes to conceive again someday.

I'm not a licensed medical professional yet, however I am halfway through nursing school as of next week. As a non-medical professional and just a human being concerned for her health, I would really urge her to get checked. Any retained tissue could cause infection or infertility later in life. Sometimes the body can't get everything out on its own.
