If the picture works. Im not very technical.

He will be black and 15.1. He is not mine so this is the only picture I currently have. Just wondering if he is good, bad or indifferent. I think he is beautiful but there is more to it than that right!

    Yes that one! Thanks.

He is going to be black when he is a big boy. Any thoughts on conformation from what you can see? He is a quarter horse. Mum 15.2 dad 14.2. Mum is champagne and dad is black.

He doesn't look like a black foal to me. Has he been tested for the black gene? He definitely looks bay to me, but I'm no color expert. All the black foals I've ever seen were a mousy grey color.

Dad doesnt carry the red gene so cannot throw bay or sorrel.

Daddy doesn't have to carry the red gene to throw bay.

Bay is caused by a dominant Agouti gene on top of a black base (EE-AA, EE-Aa, Ee-AA, or Ee-Aa.)
