6 year old OTTB, intending to event. Good mind, willing to please. Taking him for PPE next week. Just for fun critique please.

Can you take a look at how to get good conformation photos at the top of the board in the sticky that's there.

Nice looking. What are the marks on his off side?

The marks are ointment on his scrapes from being in the pasture with other horses.

Here's a nice picture of him after I pulled his mane. 20180701_110139.jpg

The pics aren’t great for a critique so it may be that but there’s something about his rear pastern angles that bother me. I’d like a little more bone myself but he’s a handsome guy.

Very nice looking gentleman. The only thing that concerned me were his pasterns also, as Bellalou stated.

@manesntails is the expert, perhaps she can shed further light, she's as accurate as a CT scan.

    Good luck-!!

I don't want to say much because not one pic was taken with the camera centered on his barrel, but I don't see any glaringly bad faults from those pics.

Read the sticky; it tells how to take confo pix and square up the back end, then the front. If he moves the back end, start over.

I'm just bored at work looking for casual discussion about it using pics I already have on my phone. If it's that big a deal, nevermind. It's not that serious.

Well, the camera has a bad habit of skewing the angles, foreshortening goes on, and then your critique will be inaccurate as all get out.

I don't like the angle of his rear pasterns. And the stance in the stall pic looks a bit off...
Front pasterns are pretty long too. He is very handsome, if only gre,s stayed like this!
How far do you want to take hi m, eventing-wise?
