The footage is terrifying of the storm, I've never seen anything like it save for a tornado. This is a catastrophe for the areas hit the hardest. I actually think it's made more impact because of the drone footage they're able to do now. It makes it so in detail and graphic.

Looks just like Homestead and S. Miami did after Andrew in '92.

Wow. Praying for all those affected by it. We are getting flooding from the remnants of it but nothing compared to what happened down there...

Yes, i'm so glad we fared as well as we did. A neighbor's shelter is trashed. My mom has a bunch of pine trees down. No structural damage other than the barn roofs. But ive been wanting a new barn for a while.

I can't imagine those along the gulf, to have to deal with that destruction.

Side note, first world problem, but whoever still fries bacon on top of the stove, ya'll are straight savage. i just cooked eggs and bacon on my gas stove, thank goodness microwaves were invented lol

Still no power at home. My mom, who lives across the road but is on a different line, does have power, so i spent the night at her house and showered there. Had the generator for the fridge and freezer going.

    Is anyone else affected?

That's what happened to me during Andrew. I was 60 miles North but we lost power and had to wait because they were shipping transformers as quick as they could, but they ran out.

My side of the street got power after one week, but across the street went two weeks. Our whole street had power cords running across the street from every house to the one on the other side.
They could at least run the tv and a fan with that one cord.
