Trying to figure out what color(s) will look best in the show ring with my new gelding! We have Navy for a hunt coat, but need something bright and flashy for western pleasure and showmanship. Pinks, reds, oranges, and yellows are out. So what colors do you suggest?! [IMG]

The picture isn't showing. What color is your horse?

Copper with some sort of jewel tone on a black base is super in right now. I think it will look phenomenal with a sorrel.

He's sorrel overo :) and i love that pad manes! I do have a copper/gold/black top, so far it has matched every horse I've owned. [IMG]
I might try this one with him, but also want some brighter colors

Rich, saturated blue, green, purple, berry, or teal will definitely pop! Ground them with black and tan, or small amounts of copper if you're careful about the tone not clashing with your particular shade of sorrel. You can also get away with tan and muted, darker greens, but I'd go for bright!

I will say that pad most likely won’t work. It’s not so much of the right style for shows. (Not sure how to explain why but just trust me!) You want a super tight weave and oversized. Check out Roany Pony on fb. She does my pads. Under $200 for completely custom. Super high quality and will last.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Roany Pony pads!!!!! I always scroll through and drool over the designs! When I get a new pad I'll probably get one from her.
