We're going out of town overnight. Today's high is 80 and low is 42. I have been putting a light sheet on my mare that I clipped for a show. She does have some hair growth but certainly. It the coat the others have at this time. The friend that is feeding them is not a horse person, so I don't expect her to deal with blanketing.

Leave sheet on or off? I'm leaning towards off since she's not freshly clipped and it's not that cold (I feel like I'd rather have her a bit chilly at night than hot all day) but thought I'd ask some other opinions.

I agree with no sheet. As long as she has shelter. In case of rain, I would want her to be able to get out of the weather. You wouldn't want her to get too hot if it's 80 with a blanket on.

They have shelter. And I live in the desert with no rain predicted.

Probably off. Check the weather and see what it's going to be though, it's gotten really cold overnight here.

Prefer my horses to be a little cool versus a little hot. They handle cool a lot better than hot.

Ok that's what I was thinking too, thanks! Weather here can be unpredictable this time of year, it was below freezing the other night!
