I took Blue to a really awesome mounted archery clinic yesterday with Bluegrass Horse Archers. It was a blast. She was absolutely wonderful. I think Severus is going to enjoy it as well. Blue was super well behaved even though she was in "her lady time"...Lol. She did not put one hair out of place. Yesterday summed up my partnership with this mare. So far this summer, we (one or both of my horses) have completed a dressage test, working Equitation clinic, cross country schooling, hunter's pace, mounted archery clinic and it has been so fun to be on this journey. Having fun with horses is what its all about!

Soooo cool!!! That's definitely a goal of mine. I love archery (though need to brush up on my skills... lol) and love riding, so it makes sense! I don't think there's anything better than having a horse that can do a little bit of everything, because that is what keeps it fun (for us and them both!) :)

have a mounted archery group starting up here in MB - so many fun things to do, so little time - working for a living really cramps my style.

That is awesome! I would love to do a mounted archery clinic someday. It looks like you had tons of fun! What all did you do at your working equitation clinic? We just had one here last weekend that I took a couple of horses to. Do you have a lot of mounted archery going on in your area? There's nothing around here.

Here is the working equitation thread with info...Working Equitation
The mounted archery just has one club here in KY that I know of, but we just are learning so going to find out more. Hoping to get more involved this fall. Look up Horse Archery USA – Promoting the sport, the art, and the culture of horse archery throughout the United States.
