Hi, I want to make some treats for my friend for her pony. He is on a low sugar diet, so I don’t want to add extra sugar or molasses. I was thinking about using no sugar added apple sauce (even tho it has some natural sugar in it, he can have a little) and sugar free peppermints and oats. I’m just not sure what else to put in. With regular treats, I use molasses to glue it all together, but he can’t eat that. Thanks!!!

    use mashed banana instead.
saw a cool cookie recipe this morning that cold probably be modified to make horse treats. It was just 2 cups mashed up very ripe banana 1 cup plain oatmeal and raisins if desired. Make small drops on a lined cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes. You could probably substatute the feed oats for the oatmeal and chopped up apple or carrot for the raisins. :)
