January was a rare blue moon, two full moons in the same month. AND, the moon on the 31st was full and 14% brighter (hadn't been that bright since the mid 1800's) than normal, AND a rare bloodmoon (red tinted) but that could only been seen out West.

I'm a moon fanatic. I check the moon regularly. (Every night when it is out and not too cloudy to see.) The Moon makes me happy. The bright side always faces us. Nobody knows what the back side looks like. So, yeah, the Moon is “the bright side“ that I always look to.

It was a clear night here and I couldn't see it because to the West of me there's a hill it went down behind at 5:30 am. It was extremely bright out, though. Heavy shadows were being cast and you had to squint to look at the moon. You almost needed Sun glasses~!!

    What's my prize?
Living out West I saw the beautiful Blood Moon....
Looking at the bright side: We are again below our snow peaks here in Southern California, so Water again will be very expensive and we will have limited watering allowance.
I would love to live somewhere where I don't have to worry about conserving water. But hubby is from Wisconsin, he's done living anywhere cold.
