This one is going to be exciting!! It's in less than a week and I am counting down the days, though I will have to live stream it from backstage as I am performing in a play lol.
I have two picks, both kinda sentimental but anyway...
Justify- I love me a hyped horse. I know I'm probably just setting myself up for disappointment but dang this horse looks good.
Mendelssohn- I picked this one back after he won the juvenile turf because my favorite violin concerto is written by Felix Mendelssohn and it is the one I have been working towards learning for my whole life. At the time it was purely a longshot sentimental pick but after his UAE win... he now has a huge chance!
Love the Scat Daddy domination this year.
    Who are your picks?

Justify was my backup to McKinzie, so by default he is now my pick when that defection happened. I'm glad it did, to be honest, because I do think Justify had matured to a point where he is excelling beyond McKinzie.

Enticed looks great on paper, I expect him to get in there. Good Magic has been training like a beast.

I do like Mendelssohn, and I think he's an incredible European horse, but I am not sure on that front. We'll see.

Lone Sailor is one I'll put in my super.

Magnum Moon and Bolt d'Oro are tosses for me.

I'm bored so I'll actually go by PP:

    1. Firenze Fire
    Mediocre horse in 1. Toss.
    2. Free Drop Billy
Thinking mid pack for this one. Toss.
    3. Promises Fulfilled
One of Romans' more solid prospects. I expect a good run out of him.
    4. Flameaway
    Toss.
    5. Audible
    Toss.
    6. Good Magic
If he goes off at 12-1 like ML states, he's value of the day. If he gets a smooth lane, expect him to fire.
    7. Justify
Horse to beat. Hands down. He's peaked and ready.
    8. Lone Sailor
    My longshot pick at 50-1.
    9. Hofburg
    Toss.
    10. My Boy Jack
    Toss.
    11. Bolt d'Oro
I've literally seen no fight in this horse. In a field of 20 he will be very uncomfortable. Toss.
    12. Enticed
Live longshot with the best pedigree in the field for classic distances.
    13. Bravado
    Toss.
    14. Mendelssohn
I think he will hit the board. Win, no.
    15. Instilled Regard
    No redeeming qualities. Toss.
    16. Magnum Moon
"Undefeated" against mediocre colts. Pletcher doesn't know how to train for this kind of race. Toss.
    17. Solomini
Leagues from Justify, but still a decent Baffert trainee. Could get up on the board.
    18. Vino Rosso
Pletcher's best shot here. Maybe in the mud.
    19. Noble Indy
    Severely outmatched. Toss.
    20. Combatant
    This poor horse...

I don't follow racing, but I just got to say, ^^those are some cool names.
Also, I read Solomini as Salami, so I'll be rooting for Salami.

Started a board a few weeks ago and need to glance at the notes, especially a work out time that was amazing recently. I've a friend who loves Justify, but probably because he's a lot of chrome lol.

I’m so excited...this is the first year in forever I can sit all day and watch all the coverage. Of course we got invited to a Derby party at my friend’s place. They just bought property and moved horses home. I’ve been dying to see the place and I’ve never been to a Derby party... but a big part of me wants to hermit with a margarita on the couch and watch it alone lol!!

Salami is quite handsome, if I do say so myself.

I'm putting Audible and Justify at even odds due to post positions being close to ideal. Mendholsen (can't spell it~!!) for third.
