I have an Android, a three year old Samsung Galaxy Alpha that is slooooowly on the way out now.
The battery keeps dying faster and faster.
I never had an iPhone, I kinda detest the whole almost sect-like movement that surrounds Apple products..and I don´t have that kind of money to spend on a phone either. The new one is more than 1100 Dollars (€ 1.150 here in Germany). That, to me, is crazy...

I have an Android and always have. Currently, just switched providers, have a Samsung Galaxy S9.

Wasn't impressed with the iPhones. Most in my family have them - just not my thing.

Apple. Consistent, secure and reliable. I don't have anything inherently against Android, but with the exception of the Google Pixel, devices pretty much do not run actual native Android. The various device manufacturers "do their own thing" with Android before putting it on their devices and then the carriers further mess it up. I'm not interested in that kind of inconsistency nor the lower level of security that these devices face because of all that modification.
