Well I finally got the insulin results back on Scotty, sort of. All I know is that it was low. I also know that his glucose is high. Now, I do not know what that combo means though. All I was told is that low insulin typically is not an issue, but that the vet's going to look over all the blood work today and give me a call, but of course I'll be at work and will most likely miss his call. So who knows what I will find out. His glucose was 116 on a normal scale of 65-110, I do know that much. Any thoughts? Seems strange to me that low insulin would normally not be considered a problem? Or am I just trying to relate a horse too much to a human?
