Figured I would give everyone a update.

Indy as we call her is coming along well. Still gives us a little grief being caught but overall things are coming along nicely. We can now handle all four of her feet, I have started rasping the fronts, hopefully the backs in another day or two. Farrier comes on the 8th so I am hoping she will be ready for her first ever real trim.

this was the day we got her

this is her now just 4 weeks later :D, I am really pleased with her progress so far. Don't mind the white stuff (its lice dust)

She's coming along nicely! I can see the beauty beneath the hair...is she a liver chestnut?

She is looking much better. I can't wait to see pictures when she sheds out and has plumped up a little more.

Not really sure what color she is going to shed out at, its pretty dark hair coming in where the bald spots are. I think she is going to be pretty cute when we get done fattening her up :D

She trotted over to meet my daughter (dinner time gets her excited) and boy does she have some snappy knee action when she gets going !

Thanks, its a slow progress. Got to finally give her a full dose of wormer yesterday (vet had us doing it in stages because she was NEVER wormed before). Our grass is just starting to sprout, fully dewormed now, so she should make some good strides over the next few weeks :)

farmer said under 10, my guess from seeing her teeth 5 or 6 yrs old. We have two other horses that are just turning 7 and her teeth are definitely younger. I am trying to get a appointment with our dentist (waiting for his return call, which sometimes takes awhile), once he comes out I should have a REAL good estimate

Boy does her head look goofy in this picture! LOL, its not that out of proportion. Guess I was concentrating on showing her body :D
