We are leaving for FL to take my bf's nephew back home. We will be leaving Friday morning and return Monday night. Some of my horses have water always available, but down in the bottom I have a hose run and have to refill daily. It is a horse and 2 calves together and now they have a 20 gallon tank and a 25 gallon tank. They drink up the 20 gal. and 1/2 of the 25 gal. per day. When we leave I am gonna put 2 muck buckets (15 gal. each, I guess?) and some 5 gallon buckets and a wash tub (if it doesn't have any holes in it) down for the 4 days. I will make sure they are full on Friday morning before we leave. That's 85 gallons without the wash tub. I guess they drink 32gal per day. That's about 2 1/2 days worth of water. Ugh! If they DO run out, would they be okay for the whole day Monday without water? I don't have anyone that I trust horse smart or gate smart to come over and check them.
