    Oh, so NOW he's saying that he didn't trim the horse he was paid to trim?
    Who was responsible for bringing him the horses? Who said they would hold your horse for you?
    It's time for a new farrier for sure, but it night be time to move your horse as well.

    there isn't a chance in the world he'd ever touch my horse again. 7months is way way more time than is ever needed to at least get the feet looking like they are headed in the right direction.

    I would no longer be walking away, I would be running away like my hair was on fire!

    My groom brings in the horses, so he does know which horse is which. Besides the fact that there are no other barefoot horses at that yard...

    ^ OMG I audit-ably chocked on my own breath when I read that. Way to try to back peddle there guy - open mouth, insert foot, fall backwards failing, doesn't even begin to cover it! :faint: :ROFLMAO: :rofl: :hah:

    Smart! :willynilly::charge::racehrs::redhorse:

    SO.
    Either your groom is super lazy/ made an oops/is dishonest, or farrier DID trim this horse 4 weeks ago, and is lying about it.
    This adds such a puzzling layer over the top of this situation. You said you saw the receipt, which presumably mean the farrier got paid and you somehow or another paid that bill. So, if your horse DIDN'T get done, where did that money go?
