Help a clueless western rider

    I'm used to clipping leg white, but considering she's still a wooly beast I think it'd look weird? Do you think just trimming with scissors would be ok? My other mare who isn't showing is almost completely shed out and Celine has barely started :rolleyes:

    No I'd definitely clip. I'd probably do around the hooves and pasterns with a 30 blade and then blend up the leg with a 10. If you turn your clippers over and go down the leg it will kind of blend it. Doing it a few days before the show will help too.

    I'd do the underside of her neck too, the same way with the clippers turned over with the direction of the hair growth.

    Definitely clip. I usually do the legs a week prior because I bring them down fairly short and it gives the hair time to settle and be rid of clipper marks.

    Yes, the first way. Lol it looks neater and there will be less movement from the ends flapping about.
