A zipper broke on my half chaps so I'm in need of another pair. Problem? I have a 10.5" calf (yes, widest part), BUT I fit the height for around a ladies small (16").

My current pair was from a local tack store, no name brand. And there aren't any more.

Anyone know of something that might fit?

My tall boots are an Ariat regular and they fit rather well, maybe a tad tall but not enough to be a problem, and a tad wide, but not enough to need a slim.

Have you tried the Ariat half chaps? They are the only ones that I have tried that fit me. They have a lot more sizes than small med and large

Are Ariats all leather? These are just to school in and I prefer suede.

Ariats also carry suede half chaps - look at the All Around type.

I get the classics and they have suede on the inside and leather on the outside. It looks better and more professional to me. They do have all suede ones as well.

I just looked at their sizing chart for the suede and they still look too big.

These are going to be used a LOT and will get put through the ringer including riding through ponds so I really don't want leather. I don't care how professional they look since they'll be for schooling only.

    Darn my small-ness!

I recently got the ariat breeze chaps that are washable leather and very soft. They come in a small and wear well.

I'll look into those real quick.

ETA: Just looked. The XS works well for height but it's still too big in the calf.

I have half a mind to make my own...

The height is too short on childrens. That's the width of some that I tried on today that are too big :(

Before I got the height childrens fit fine, but now my legs are too long and too skinny. I got lucky with these weird no name ones.
