I still somehow can't believe that my husband didn't divorce me when I called him at 9:30 one night. Told him to bundle up the two year old son and head an hour north with our friend and his trailer, I'd just bought a $25 pony.

Did I mention he had to work at 4 the next morning? I think I'm lucky I'm still alive after that stunt. lol

Ahht. Manes. Ah knows ya too well, if there's a diamond there you'll find it..if there's anything else those trailers will be empty on your part. I'm no soft touch either at auctions, went many times over years. Even if we see a diamond doesn't mean it's a good fit for us, right? Honestly though, I'm always afraid I'm going to run into a Valegro in the rough and have a heart attack and not be able to pass-!

    Bon chance - :)

I'm terrible at auctions. Any kind of auction. I get all caught up in it and end up flinging my hand up for no reason other than the fact that I'm at an auction and it's too much fun.

Then I end up with a set of 1967 encyclopedias or a broken exercise bike. I can't imagine what I'd come home with if I ever went to a livestock auction. :blushing:

I forbid myself to go to auctions anymore. The last one I almost came home with a battered and lame yearling paint. Someone left a halter on him until it cut into his face. All he wanted was to be close to a person and be touched. Broke my heart, but I knew looking at his rear pastern he would forever be a pasture puff. Don't forget to post pictures when you get him home.

There very well could be a young Bay TB there~!! They're coming from four states, ya know. This is the first horse auction we've had around here since the auction house closed two years ago, then they reopened it but no horses accepted. It's gonna be a pretty big one.............otherwise, I wouldn't bother to go look. :help:

Darn. That would be upsetting at the least. Idk or understand people who'd put a halter on and never adjust it... poor guy. :(

    No pics so empty trailer..
